The Cowboys fly into Boulder in hopes of collecting some Buffalo skins this weekend. The hopes of the faithful University of Colorado fans are riding high on this last chance run at a bowl game bid. Coach Hawkins and his quarterback Cody Hawkins plan on stopping Mike Gundy’s power running game to get that lucky win number six. Kendall Hunter is the number four leading rusher in college football currently averaging 133 yards a game. The Cowboys hope to finish these final games strongly but Colorado’s squad isn’t planning on going through the motions at home on national television Saturday night.

The Cougar fans have been waiting for this matchup against the Hurricanes for the better half of the season. The Golden Hurricanes have the No. 1 ranked total offense, scoring offense, and the national leader in passing efficiency; David Johnson will surge into Robertson Stadium Saturday ready for destruction. Coach Sumlin’s Cougars have the No. 2 passing offense, No. 4 total offense, and Case Keenum is ranked 14th in passing efficiency. If Houston can stop the best offense in the country they could very well play themselves into the conference championship game and another bowl game bid.
